Last night, Kobe was complaining about going to bed so I
grabbed a blanket and hung it around his bed (he’s on the bottom bunk). I told him it was a cheetah den and that all
kid cheetahs needed to scrub their paws and brush their fangs. Within minutes I had a clean, happy cheetah
all snug in his bed.
(He was still a cheetah this morning - who went to school dressed as Captain America.)
If you don’t like what you have to do today, look up. Sometimes it takes a small adjustment in our
perspective to make a big adjustment in our attitude.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and
finished this race we’re in. Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight
of where He was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—He could put up
with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now He’s there,
in the place of honor, right alongside God.
